Welcome Back, Congrats and High-Green Belt Leading Warm-Ups

Welcome back everyone,
I hope everyone had an enjoyable break and it was nice to have a few students in town to train with this past week.

First, congratulations to our newest white belt Tyler Smiley!

This upcoming week and in early April there will be several higher belts leading warm-ups to prepare for the young instructor level (blue belt). Please remember school rule number two and give these students the utmost respect as they challenge us physically at the beginning of class.
IU Tournament Spring 2019 Cancelled

Indiana University notified me over spring break that their spring 2019 invitational tournament was cancelled. There is a local open adult taekwondo tournament on Saturday, August 24th in Urbana, IL. Note: this is the weekend prior to the fall term starts but I will collect additional information and share on social media for those interested.

Hope to see several of you tomorrow evening in class

Arriving Late – Perform the Late Warm-up Sequence
Please try to arrive on time for class. However, this is a reminder if you do arrive late to TKD class (after the class has finished the initial jumping jacks) please perform the late warm-up sequence, bow in and join the class. The late warm-up sequence is 50 jumping jacks, 50 push-ups, 50 sit-ups, and 50 leg lifts. It is extremely important to warm-up the body before beginning kicking drills and martial arts training.
