The Gilman International Scholarship Program provides awards of $5,000 (plus up to a $3,000 supplement for critical languages) for U.S. citizen undergraduate students to pursue summer, semester, or academic-year study abroad opportunities in other countries. This is a need-based award, and to be eligible, you must be receiving a Federal Pell Grant.
The National and International Scholarships Program will assist in reviewing your scholarship application material. To get you started, they are offering a two-day informational event about the Gilman Scholarship.

There is an exciting opportunity for English majors to publish in a national, peer-edited undergraduate journal. The Madison Journal of Literary Criticism at UW-Madison is devoted to publishing outstanding essays of undergraduate literary analysis, and the journal is soliciting submissions of 8-20 pages for its tenth issue. This is an excellent and rare opportunity for you to gain recognition for your work in literary criticism.

RBG: Free Virtual Film Screening and Filmmaker Conversation
Women & Gender in Global Perspectives and the Women’s Resources Center will host a virtual screening of the acclaimed documentary, RBG. This film follows the life and legacy of the late Supreme Court Justice, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and it will be available for viewing, for free, beginning at 4 p.m. CST on Tuesday, February 16th until 4 p.m. CST Thursday, February 18th.
On Wednesday, February 15th at 4 p.m. CST, there will also be a virtual conversation with the film’s directors, Julie Cohen and Betsy West.

2nd Annual International Women’s Day Photography Contest
March 8th is International Women’s Day! As part of the annual celebration events, including Women’s History Month throughout March, the Women’s Resources Center, OIIR-International Education and International Student and Scholar Services are hosting the 2nd annual photography contest. The top awards will be given during the Global Engagement Lounge on March 10, 2021. Legal Studies Minor – Info Session:
