The Department of English has three excellent ways for students to develop and expand their professional networks.
- The first is the English Student Council. Networking doesn’t have to be hard: you can start making connections with other people in your major who may have similar goals or be confronting similar challenges as they think about future careers.
- The second is the Department of English Alumni Mentoring network, which can connect you to alumni from the English department working in a vast range of fields.
- And finally, there’s our Linked In group, “Department of English at Illinois,” which brings together current students, alumni, faculty, and friends of the department.
