Who are Andrew and Deborah?
The class was given the opportunity to tour the home and studio of Andrew and Deborah Fell. Andrew Fell is a registered Architect and graduate of the University of Illinois. He founded Andrew Fell Architecture and Design in 1999 after working in Illinois and New Hampshire for over 16 years. Andrew also designed his family home which includes a studio for his wife Deborah, who is an entrepreneurial artist in quilt-making and other mediums.

What Did We Learn?
Andrew and Deborah are prime examples of two people who followed their dreams. Andrew Fell opened his own firm and created a very family-oriented work environment. Andrew and Deborah were able to successfully follow their dreams and accomplish their goals while still holding their family values above all else.

Andrew has a very unconventional way of managing his business. By keeping all of his employees in one place virtually and having them scattered over three states in the real world, he managed to achieve the required level of work and collaboration while not sacrificing the family life of his employees – AH
For Andrew, work is not about being in a desk 8 hours a day, work is about getting the job done no matter where or when, which is something considerate for people who have families to tend to, and something I sympathize and agree with. Deborah and Andrew also exemplified a good ethos to life in general, on how to be lighthearted, warm, and easygoing, which has helped them lead a happy life and certainly helped in their individual careers.
