Among all things, I believe my biggest fault, and my biggest area for improvement is my use of diction and sentence structure. From analyzing my reading and also the comments given to me from my professor, I often use vague and pretentious diction, which can be simplified by using a more simplistic vocabulary that says exactly what I’m trying to say. Along with this I noticed that I can ramble on in sentences that connect too many thoughts at once. This can be resolved by mapping out my ideas more in depth before writing the final product in order to help with the issues of conciseness. Also having just learned passive voice I can now use that knowledge to correct the areas that followed passive voice instead of active voice.
