Final Portfolio

Moving forward with this topic and pushing to formulate a research question, this topic should be looked at in a way that brings about the conflict.  Conflict in research questions aids in bringing about different types of perspectives that give a wide range of responses to the questions.  With my research topic as the focal point, there should be a question with regards to whether or not athletes who protest during their sporting events should be penalized in the form of suspension or other things of that nature.  Or the penalizing could be left in charge of the team owner or coach.  Although Gerard gave the advice that research should be a discovery for both the author and the reader, this topic is very prevalent in my life right now and will be mostly known information to me.  This adds to the exigence of this topic for me because I care a great deal about this issue being that it is so closely tied to sports and an important social issue.  That being said, I hope to expand my opinions to account for all the views on this topic.
