After reading the sources on unofficial St. Patrick’s day at U of I, my perceptions did not change.  Before I even came to the university, I already heard about the crazy drinking festivities tied to this unofficial holiday. However, I surprisingly did poorly on the drinking quiz.  Students at the University of Illinois care about their safety and school before partying according to the quiz. My plans this weekend do not involve drinking anyways.  Since I am a freshman, I can not get into the bars anyways since they raise the bar age to 21 during the unofficial holiday. This is a perfect opportunity for me to catch up on school work.  My sorority is also involved in a philanthropy week, so I am occupied with that.  This holiday will definitely impact the campus negatively. Garbage will be everywhere and that is not a good look for a prestigious school like ours.
