At SACNAS and Friends chapter we are a family and as a family we wanted to celebrate our AMAZING members through a Student Spotlight Series!
To start us off, we are highlighting our member and Undergraduate Liaison: Vanessa Blas.
Vanessa Blas (Systems Engineering ’22)
Vanessa is an undergrad, a junior in Systems Engineering. She decided to join SACNAS to find community within STEM, as she found it difficult at times to find motivation and a sense of belonging. Vanessa joined part of the board as Undergraduate Liaison after helping out with the concha and hot chocolate fundraising event, she enjoys being around the many grad members within SACNAS. In her free time, she likes to edit and take pictures of different scenery for Instagram and she loves to listen to Myke Towers.
Come on out to our Second General Body Meeting this Wednesday, March 3rd at 5pm! Representatives from the Illinois Leadership Center will be leading a Personal Development: Self Management workshop. Hope to see y’all there! (Zoom details are below)
