Launching the UIUC SACNAS Chapter Alumni Network

Dear SACNAS Members and Alumni,

It’s been 7 years since the SACNAS Chapter at UIUC was established and we want to begin to create a network for current and former UIUC SACNAS members. Wilfred has advised us to reach out to everyone.

Our plan is to highlight alumni and their careers and accomplishments on our website. We would also be creating a database with contact information for members only to facilitate the connection between the past and current members.

If you are interested in being part of this network, please fill out this quick form. If you don’t feel comfortable sharing certain information, I ask that you still complete the form and just leaving those fields blank.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me ( or the chapter

Thank you for your time and we look forward to your responses.

Best Wishes,

Brenda Andrade

UIUC SACNAS Chapter President

SACNAS Conference 2016

We all had an amazing time this year at the National SACNAS Conference in Long Beach, California. We learned so much about diverse scientific projects, how to advance our careers in the direction we want, and how culture contributes to our professional development.
