3rd Huixian International Forum on Earthquake Engineering for Young Researchers

On August 11-12, over 130 researchers from around the world participated in the 3rd Huixian International Forum on Earthquake Engineering for Young Researchers.  Parallel sessions covered a wide range of topics, including: seismic design and response of buildings and bridges, supplemental energy dissipation and seismic control, hybrid simulation and testing methods, and sensing and condition assessment.  Keynote lectures were delivered by Professors Youssef Hashash, Paulo Lourenco, Satish Nagarajaiah, Toru Takeuchi, Guo-Qiang Li and Hui Li.  The 4th Huixian International Forum will be held next summer in Shanghai.
