Major Paper 2

Making the revisions for this paper was a lot easier to do than for my analytical essay. Since I recently turned it in, I knew the basic structure and remembered a lot of the information that I used for my paragraphs. The same method worked to revise this paper, as I used for my first major paper. I read through Professor Hays’ comments and then went through the paper and made all the minor changes, which, once again, included a lot of passive voice and expletive construction. I then reread the paragraph on the side of my essay that outlined the more drastic changes that I needed to make. I went through and edited the incorrect citations and fixed the paragraphs where I lacked a proper analysis of my source. I decided to expand on the analysis portion on parts of my annotated bibliography because I also felt that the information I provided was not thorough enough. All the criteria for the analysis were not completely met, so I was able to incorporate these missing pieces during my revision. Although there were no radical changes in my thinking as I edited this assignment, I realized that I didn’t pay close attention to small grammatical details, even after I learned about them in class. I continued to make the same mistakes as I did in my first major assignment. It was disappointing to see that I made the same mistakes, but I learned that without paying close attention to these problems, I continued to make them. While I revise my minor assignments, I will look for these same mistakes to make them better as well.
