The Illinois Administrative Professionals organization at the University of Illinois recently announced that Kara Carpenter, Assistant Director of International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS), has been named 2023 Boss of the Year. Melissa Duong nominated her supervisor for the annual award, which is celebrated during Boss’ Week each year.

The Illinois Administrative Professionals 2022 Boss of the Year, Christine Hopper, Assistant to the Dean, School of Information Sciences (iSchool) presented a talk on the benefits of participating in organizations such as IAP.

The Illinois Administrative Professional organization is comprised of University of Illinois employees in civil service classifications.
