COVID Safety

COVID Safety at ECEC22

We are making every effort to follow the recommended guidelines by the Illinois Department of Public Health and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control to insure the health and safety of all participants at ECEC22. Specific details will come closer to the conference as health guidelines get updated.

General Guidelines

  • Masks: All participants must wear masks regardless of vaccination status. Illinois is currently under an indoor mask mandate.
  • Food & Beverage: We plan to offer single use beverages and box lunches. Participants can eat in the conference hall, outside, in their rooms, or where ever they feel most comfortable. We understand that single use plastics are not the ideal use of plastics and will work with the I Hotel to mitigate their use while also balancing conference attendees health and safety.
  • Sanitation & Distancing: Sanitation stations will be provided throughout the conference. Attendees social networking distance preferences will be clearly available on name badges. We will offer multiple registration tables to reduce line formation during check-in.
  • Contact Tracing: The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District (CUPHD) is responsible for contact tracing. If we are made aware of someone who tests positive for COVID after attending ECEC22, we will inform CUPHD and they will contact participants based on the in-person registration list.
