Past Brown Bag Sessions

Exercising Leadership in the Workplace: How we all play a leadership role.

The Career Connections Committee held the first Brown Bag Session on Tuesday, October 6, 2015.  We had a total of 24 participants!

The panelists [Lisa Burgoon, Erica Thieman, and Jeff Yacup] led a discussion about the difference between a leader and leadership…you don’t have to have “leader” in your title or job description to play a leadership role.  We all have the opportunity to influence our colleagues in positive ways – which is leadership.  Also discussed were stress and its impact on the group dynamic and the importance of diversity in team building.
