Metaphor

Crawling Infant: A Metaphor related to my writing life

Banuelos, Jennifer. “Secrets of Baby Behavior: Babies’ Firsts: How Babies Learn to Crawl.” N.p., n.d. Web. 5 Apr. 2016.
Being an infant is an interesting stage in life because of all the trial and error that goes on. It is curiosity that leads to all the trial and error because one as an infant does a lot of observing that leads to temptations. One of those temptations is to walk and talk like every person around them. However, these skills are not as easy as one thinks. These skills take a lot of practice and a lot of time to master. Even then, one learns more new things as he/she moves on in life. For example, how to run and enhance their vocabulary.

Just like my writing, I feel that there is a lot of space for improvement, which will take time and practice. Writing papers is not my favorite thing to do, but is a skill that I would love to acquire  if done the right way. As of now I do not write the greatest papers, which is why I refer to my skills as being in my infant stage because I am somewhat a beginner but am tempted to become great if possible.

Therefore, with practice and time I plan on moving on from my infant stage and reaching the expert level to where I can see myself as a marathon runner.
