Reflection

After re-reading and revising this piece of work I was able to catch a few errors. Also, I  was able to make changes in specific parts that my teacher was able to inform me about through my compass profile where she left messages after grading the assignment. For example, within the first submission of the assignment I made the mistake of not putting my sources in order, which is a violation in accordance to the MLA citing format. Another avoidable mistake that I made was underline my title, which has been changed thanks to my professors feedback. The use of passive voice has also been eliminated along with the incorrect use of apostrophe’s.  In reviewing the piece I realized all the avoidable errors that could have been avoided to help me receive a better grade the fist time.

In terms of my revision process, what I did was first read over my work and make sure things sounded clear. Then, I went back to the graded assignment and looked at all the feedback that my teacher Mrs. Hays provided. Lastly, I went back to the assignments rubric and made sure that everything followed as instructed. After completing the full revising process I learned that it is never too late for improvement and that nothing is ever perfect, even if your gut says it is.
