Cheater Cheater Pumpkin Eater

Upon submitting my plagiarism weekly response and checking the originality report, I noticed that all directly plagiarized information was immediately caught, both from the source I was analyzing and the one I randomly copied off the internet.  The plagiarism checker did have a little harder time picking up the  very slightly paraphrased text because it wasn’t word for word.  The plagiarism checker did highlight the majority of a sentence of mine that I had made up on my own and said it was plagiarism, which could mislead a teacher to thinking that I had done a mediocre job of paraphrasing it.  This could definitely be an ethical concern for a teacher because when analyzing the output, they would have to assume whether or not the student had paraphrased the information or it was their own logical thoughts.  In turn, a student could be wrongly accused of plagiarism or given the benefit of the doubt when in actuality they had cheated.
