Pathways for Students

From classroom interactions to issues backstage, it can be hard to know who to talk to sometimes.  These Pathways of Support offer guidance across the many types of spaces that make up our Illinois Theatre community: classrooms, production shops, rehearsal rooms, and performance spaces. Using the dropdown menu, find the space that most closely corresponds with your situation and follow the pathway that works best for you.

What if Those Options Don’t Seem Right?

You can always speak with any faculty or staff member about a concern, but here are some options if you are not sure who to talk to:

Contact a student member of the 2024 Student Advisory Committee:

Contact one of our directors of studies:

Contact the Head of Illinois Theatre, Valleri Robinson (valleri2@illinois.edu) or the Associate Head, JW Morrisette (jwmorris@illinois.edu)

Contact an organization on the curated list of non-departmental support resources – or any university or affiliated resources that you find appropriate and think will serve your needs.

If you wish to voice a concern that is about the Head of Illinois Theatre, you may also contact the Dean of the College of Fine & Applied Arts, Kevin Hamilton (faa@illinois.edu).
