In addition to Arenal’s hydroelectric and geothermal contributions, it also features thirty windmills surrounding the lake. Known as the Tejona Wind Power Project, this cluster of seven wind farms is the second largest in the nation and reinforces Arenal’s status as a significant contributor to clean energy.
