This January, Professors Carena van Riper and Bill Stewart from our team took a trip to Malmo, Sweden for the first ENVISION meeting. ENVISION is an international project focused on an inclusive approach to assessing integrative scenarios and visions for protected area management. The ongoing research in Denali National Park and Preserve is part of this project, as well as protected areas and universities in Spain, Sweden, Finland, United Kingdom, Germany, and the Netherlands.
Many research teams shared valuable information, and days of discussion went on to really get this project rolling full speed. Our team is busy at work with data analysis and more, and are planning our March trip up to Denali, which is just about two months away. We are looking forward to getting back to Denali soon and to share our work with ENVISION in June.
