Reflecting on the feedback given on of my first critical response paper, I feel I was able to encompass all aspects of the prompt by including detailed summaries of each source. From these summaries I was able to branch off and connect my own personal experiences. However, there were a couple instances where my writing was vague. I also used passive voice which made my writing indirect and wordy. To improve upon this, I will make sure I am not leaving the reader guessing. I educated myself about this specific problem in my writing by referring to section W-3 of my handbook, where I was able to find helpful examples. I feel I received an acceptable grade for this critical response. However, to improve upon my writing as a whole and ultimately receive a better grade next time, I will make sure I am conscious of instances where I am being vague in my writing.
