Reflection on Minor Assignment II

With this assignment, I focused more on trimming down my content. Professor Mary pointed out that I had a lot of unnecessary or obvious sentences in my original draft. These sentences were distracting and did not really need to be included. In the revised draft, I simply omitted instances that I felt were unnecessary and this simplified my writing along the way. This critical response assignment required referencing three literary sources. In my original draft, I did not reference these sources in accordance with MLA format. To correct this minor issue, I referred to sections P5, MLA4, and MLA5 in the Writer’s Reference handbook. Here I learned that books, movies, and periodical titles should be italicized or underlined, while articles, stories, and other short works should be in quotation marks. Finally, I was able to finish the revision process by coming up with a more creative title for this assignment.
