Reflection on Essay II

As a whole, my annotated bibliography was packed full of detailed research. My thesis was clear and focused and was able to captivate the reader by addressing the main idea of my paper. As pointed out by Professor Mary, my bibliography contained effective summaries, however, at times these summaries crossed the boundary of source material and opinion. Although this occurred only slightly, it still needed to be addressed in my revised draft. To fix this, I simply had to revisit my original draft and determine where I may have snuck in my own opinion and eliminate it. Including my personal opinion was geared towards being included in the argumentative research paper and not the summaries of the annotated bibliography. This assignment was meant to summarize and analyze the source material. I also made sure to revisit my citations and make sure they were all formatted properly. I refereed to OWL at Purdue as well as the Writers Reference handbook for tips on eliminating the errors in my citations. By applying these simple revisions, I was able to improve my annotated bibliography and make it more effective.
