How to Stay Active while Practicing Social Distancing

As many or all of you may have already heard, the University of Illinois is taking measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19, as a part of these measures, Campus Rec has decided it is in the best interests of its members that, effective immediately, no practices, events, etc. are to be held and their facilities are closed indefinitely. This, unfortunately, means that there likely will be no belt testing this spring semester.

I definitely encourage everyone to stay active while practicing social distancing. On behalf of Les Mills and Campus Rec, free online workouts are available at https://watch.lesmillsondemand.com/at-home-workouts

Also, be on the lookout for possible Saturday Zoom and or Google HangOut Taekwondo at UIUC training sessions and some martial arts related video challenges shared on social media. Personally, it has been an honor to teach everyone this semester and a real treat getting to know all the new students. I look forward to getting to train in-person with you all either over the summer and or fall term.

Remember when you might get restless and stressed to be the good energy you want to attract. Be the reason someone smiles today. Continue to demonstrate the five aims to achieve #StrongMind #HarderTraining

Take care and be safe,

Candice
