Carlstone Receives 2017 First Step Award
Jamie Carlstone, Electronic Serials Bibliographic Control Specialist at the University Library at Urbana-Champaign, has been named the recipient of the 2017 First Step Award from the Association for Library Collections and Technical Services (ALCTS).
The award will be presented on Saturday, June 24, at the ALCTS Awards Ceremony during the 2017 ALA Annual Conference in Chicago.
Morris Awarded International Research Travel Grant
David Morris, Classics and Research and Information Services Librarian and Assistant Professor at the University Library at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, has been awarded an International Research Travel Grant from Illinois International Programs.
Imker to Lead Illinois Efforts in Multi-Institution Data Curation Network Funded by Sloan Foundation
Heidi Imker, Director of the Research Data Service and Associate Professor at the University of Illinois Library, will lead local participation in a new Data Curation Network funded by the Sloan Foundation. The grant will enable six institutions, including Illinois, to pilot a “network of expertise” model for data curation services.
