- 2012 – OVP initiates Day of Service, a meal packing event that takes place at Memorial Stadium.
- 2012 – Illini Union assume ownership of the The Flash Drive – the campus computer and technology store. It was renamed the Illini Union Tech Zone.
- 2013 – Tech Zone becomes the only computer store on campus, providing computers and technology products and repair service.
- 2014 – IUB begins Friday Night Films, screening successful hit movies for free to students.
- 2014 – OVP celebrates its 25th
- 2014 – OVP initiates Weekend Service Trips, taking students to different cities and volunteering on various projects.
- 2015 – University Document Services comes under the management umbrella of the Illini Union.
- 2015 – One Book One Campus hosts Piper Kerman, author of the original book the popular TV series is based on, Orange is the New Black.
- 2015 – Illini Union, IUB, Star Course Entertainment, and the State Farm Center put on the first annual Spring Jam outdoor concert on the Quad with B.o.B. and Timeflies performing to over 5,000 students.
