- 1950 – After the war ended, students wanted to make all social events purely celebratory as they sought relief from a difficult era: Tuesdays held square dancing, Wednesdays hosted social and informal dances, Thursdays were dedicated to coffee and jazz music, and record hops and couples nights were held on the weekends.

- 1951 – Inaugural IUB International Fair is held.
- 1953 – Building loans are paid in full.
- 1956 – Plans for an expansion are recommended and they move forward.
- 1959 – University recognition withheld for student organizations restricting membership on the basis of race or religion.
