Biography: Sayantani is native of Howrah (West Bengal), India. She completed her bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Jadavpur University Kolkata and master’s degree in chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Thereafter, she joined University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for her doctoral studies in materials chemistry and subsequently joined Snyder group in Fall 2022. She is currently working on the topic ‘Direct capture and conversion of CO2 to products’ where she focuses on creating new reactive zeolite intermediates to capture notorious carbon dioxide and activate it to form useful products. She likes to spend her free time in photography and drawing.
