Biography: Amrinder is a native of Fresno, California. He completed his bachelor’s degree in chemistry with highest honors from University of California, Santa Cruz. Thereafter, he joined University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for his doctoral studies in materials chemistry and subsequently joined Snyder group in Fall 2022. He is currently working on the topic ‘Spectroscopic elucidation of carbon supported single atom catalysts’ where he is employing spectroscopy techniques to accurately probe and define MNx (M=Fe,Cu) sites within zeolitic imidazole frameworks (ZIFs) and porous carbon supports. His hobbies include going on walks, listening to music, binge watching TV shows and playing videogames.
