Biography: Annie is native of Plano (Texas), USA. She completed her bachelor’s degree in chemistry and forensic science from Syracuse University. She also received a certificate of advanced study in firearm and toolmark examination from Syracuse. Thereafter, she joined University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for her doctoral studies in inorganic chemistry and subsequently joined Snyder group in Fall 2022. She is currently working on the topic ‘Entatic metal sites for C-H functionalization and group transfer reactions’ where she focuses on creating new reactive zeolite intermediates through group transfer reactions. She is also interested in the characterization of these active species using various spectroscopic techniques. Her hobbies include rock climbing, firearms examination and listening to music.
