Reflection

In the first critical response paper I had a few errors to revise in the beginning. The first sentence needed to be edited because it contained an expletive construction. I was easily able to remove this expletive and even was successful in shortening the sentence by doing so. I wrote this critical response before the lesson in class on expletive constructions. Going back and editing the expletive in my paper was great practice. In the future, when I am revising papers, I will be able to identify these errors and know how to eradicate them. The next error I found in my paper was an example of my lack of understanding MLA formatting. As I have been revising these papers, I have found over and over again that I italicized the title when I should be using quotations marks and vice a versa. I hope now that I have had to identify this issue so many times, in the future I will not make this mistake. Professor Mary’s comments were very helpful to me during my revisions. Each comment was not too long and not too short. I found it particularly helpful when the comments had a link to a Prezi that further discussed the grammar mistake I had made.
