Reflection

For this critical response, my errors were strictly grammatical. I really wanted to revise this critical response because it was one that I was most proud of and therefore wanted it to be perfect. The first revision I made was erasing an apostrophe I had placed in the word rhetors. Because I made this error, I was able to learn that there are certain possessive nouns, which was something I had not known before. In this essay I identified my error of italicizing a title instead of putting it in quotes. I am very unfamiliar with MLA formatting within an essay. From going back and revising this in the critical response, I reread Professor Mary’s comment and learned for which titles italics are necessary and when to instead use quotations.

In completely this particular assignment, I learned the different methods of reading actively. As I mentioned in the paper, I can often get lost when I am reading and my eyes continue reading when my mind races off somewhere else. I enjoyed reading these articles and books. By choosing to revise this critical response I was able to revisit these writings that I had forgotten I had so enjoyed earlier on in the year.
