Because this was the first essay, I now see a lot of things I can improve on. The biggest thing I need to revise was to make things more specific. I was somewhat vague and not descriptive. So I spiced things up and added a lot more flavor to my essay. Because some of my arguments were general, it lost the purpose I was trying to say. I know now that I need to always explain my writing and back it up so the reader knows exactly what I’m trying to say.

The biggest revision I did to this essay was take out all the material that was unimportant and added fresh new ideas. Some parts of my essay needed to be reworded or corrected, so those were easy to fix. I learned a lot from this essay because it taught me what I was doing wrong when I probably had no clue. Sometimes you don’t realize something isn’t right, so having people look over it and revising it will help make your essay so much better!

Revising your papers is perfect for English 109 students to do because you can help peer edit each others papers. Having more people edit your paper, the better. Your classmates can help tune it up and see errors you possibly didn’t notice yourself. Also, editing other people’s papers can help you with your own papers.
