Born in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, Camelia Goila has lived in Mexico since 1994. She got her teacher and concert pianist diploma from the George Dima Music Academy in her birthplace. She was awarded a Master of Arts in Piano Performance by the University of Illinois, in Urbana-Champaign. Gerda Turk, Ninuca Osanu Pop, Ian Hobson were some of her teachers. She has performed in recitals and festivals in Romania, Italy, Austria, England, Venezuela, México, United States. She recorded CDs with Cuarteto Aurora, with the clarinetist Ioan Goila, with the violinist Luis Samuel Saloma, “Invocaciones” with Evangelina Reyes, “Zarabandeo" with Luis Humberto Ramos, “La Revue de Cuisine y Ponce Inédito” with Cameristas de México. She currently works as piano teacher at the Superior School of Music from the National Institute of Fine Arts, at the School of Music Vida y Movimiento and Iniciación Artística from the Ollin-Yoliztli Cultural Centre.
