The first key outcome of the Student Affairs Strategic Planning process was the development of new vision, mission and values statements. The planning team determined that the vision and mission statements were interdependent so assigned both of those tasks to the same committee while a second committee developed the values statements.
Committees made up of Student Affairs staff from across the division gathered over a series of meetings to develop and revise draft statements. These statements were shared with all Student Affairs staff members for electronic feedback and reaction. The committees reviewed and incorporated that feedback into the final drafts that were submitted to the Student Affairs Leadership team in November of 2019. These items will remain in draft and subject to further revision until the entire plan is completed in the spring of 2020.
