Brainstorm

Brainstorm, From: fiberopticnow.github.io

The designing process begins with brainstorming, just ideas swirling around. Your idea can die or you can put in on paper and take it further. You think about what you want to focus on after told what you have to design.

In writing, there is also a similar process that begins with brainstorming after knowing what an assignment is. You choose your topic after knowing where you need to begin.

After the ideas are swirling around, a rough sketch is drawn up to get the ideas on paper. Through this, the ideas begin to take shape for others to understand.

In writing, this is when I do automatic writings and idea refining and where research begins.

In designing, the sketch is elaborated on as more research is done, and the work starts to come together. It is revised upon before the next step is reached.

Writing needs lots of research before a draft is even considered for peer reviews. The author refines their ideas and thinks critically.

Hand-Drawn Floorplan, From: keefechanblog.wordpress.com

A hand-drawn floorplan is when the ideas starts to come full circle and ideas become critical where peers give their input as an architect starts to finalize their designs and check for building codes.

A child’s draft is conducted and reviewed among our workshop groups to make sure we are on the right track and following all the right rules of grammar.

A computer-generated floorplan finalizes the idea. It is ready to be reviewed by the head of the firm for errors and is an almost finished product.

This is when we think we are done with an assignment in which we turn in to the teacher. We think we are ready to take our writing to the next level, but our reviewer keeps us in check.

Then the house is 3-D rendered and ready to be built. The house is built, and the architect feels accomplished as it is ready to withstand the forces of the world.

There are more revisions from when the teacher analyzed the essay, but this is the part in the process for a moment of review to get published which I hope to do one day with some of my work.

Fixing of a House, From: www.oldhouseguy.com

As with any design, a house is built or not, but the architect finds things that they would change. Eventually the buyer and seller of a house makes changes for their own want, or the house gets old and needs touching up. It is always going under changes to improve.

As with writing, whether or not it is published, an author is never truly satisfied with their work. They do more research to revise the essay and improves on the structure. It is a never ending revision process. Sometimes the work sits for years, other times weeks. An editor may want changes. Writing is never over, even when it seems a complete product is seemingly submitted.

Designing a house is like writing. There are many tedious steps of checking for careful revision, but the creator is never truly satisfied because the process never ends. The structure and organization is crucial for a well designed product in each scenario.
