The University of Illinois Archives has been awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) to develop a prototype web-portal and analysis-engine to provide access to archival material related to the development of the iconic, multi-disciplinary field of cybernetics.

Hinchliffe Appointed Editor of Library Trends
Lisa Janicke Hinchliffe, Coordinator for Information Literacy and Professor at the University Library, has been named as the new editor of its quarterly journal Library Trends by the School of Information Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her editorship will begin January 1, 2017.
Hensley Awarded for Leadership at American Library Association Annual Conference
Merinda Kaye Hensley, Instructional Services Librarian and Assistant Professor, University Library, has received the 2015 Leadership Award from The Graduate School of Library and Information Science (GSLIS) Library School Alumni Association (LSAA). LSAA presents its awards each year at the American Library Association Annual Conference. The Leadership Award is given to an alum who has graduated in the past ten years and shown leadership in the field of library and information science.
