Congratulations to Rebecca Hortensius and her undergrad assistant Jill Ebens – their paper ‘Immunomodulatory effects of amniotic membrane matrix incorporated into collagen scaffolds,’ was just accepted in J Biomed Mater Res Part A! This the first paper from our group looking to incorporate amniotic membrane derived matrix into a biomaterial as a means to modulate the inflammatory response after implantation – very excited by the possibilities!
