Brooke Bouwens graduated in 2023 from Manchester University with a major in biology-chemistry. During her time as an undergraduate, Brooke conducted research on the microbial biodegradation of 1,3-diphenylpropane, a dimeric model of polystyrene, in Dr. Jeffrey Osborne’s lab. During her senior year, she researched maize genetics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with Dr. James Schnable. She is currently working on an anticancer project.
