Artist’s Statement

I created this portfolio to display my writing to my audience. I hope my audience will understand that there are different styles I chose for my writing.  My small assignments as well as my major essays reveal qualities and characteristics of myself. While working on these assignments I learned that writing is a gradual process and never perfect the first time. For this reason, I have decided to revise my writing from previous assignments. I have decided to include revisions of two minor assignments and two major assignments. I reflected on my revisions and previous writer to further invite my writer to learn from my writing experience. I also became more educated about contemporary issues in our society through writing and research. Throughout my revision process, I learned from my own mistakes by trial and error. Diction, syntax, expletives, passive voice, and punctuation are a few of the areas where any writer can improve. The context of my portfolio contains revisions, source use, and multimedia. My goal is to introduce myself through my multimedia and revisions and the context of my portfolio. I have provided a brief biography that will give more of a background of my life and writing experience.
