The best metaphor for my writing is like a little kid because of the actions and portrayal a kid usually shows. Little kids tend to not always want to do stuff they do not like; therefore, for me, I do not like to write papers or edit essays. However, they have to do certain things in school since it is required and mandatory for all children to go to school. The kid will not want to do it at first since they are confused or puzzled, but they will have to be pushed in order to achieve their goals. For me, I have always been bad at writing since I never feel encouraged to do it and hate to do the work. I do it because I have to, and it is required for me when it comes to school. I will never forget how long it took me to develop my reading and writing school throughout the years; it is like a kid since they always are learning and trying to achieve more in school. I remember I would feel accomplished whenever I received a good grade on my paper; kid usually go show their parents their good grades and tend to hang them up on the wall or fridge. I will always have that little kid inside me when I am writing and know I can achieve so much more if I just keep trying. Little kids usually tend to cry when they do not get what they want or when they are in pain; I feel down or sad when I receive a bad grade and know I could of done better.
Another metaphor would be a bird’s nest. I would compare my writing to a bird’s nest since you need all the best materials to create the best bird’s nest; therefore, I need the best intro, body, evidence, support, conclusion, and many more to create the best essay. If you get materials that are easy to find or make, then the bird’s nest might hold up. Same goes for my writing, if I do not put 100% effort into my writing, it will reflect the grade I receive and what kind of feedback I will receive as well.
