It’s been 7 years since the SACNAS Chapter at UIUC was established and we want to begin to create a network for current and former UIUC SACNAS members. Wilfred has advised us to reach out to everyone.
Our plan is to highlight alumni and their careers and accomplishments on our website. We would also be creating a database with contact information for members only to facilitate the connection between the past and current members.

Join us today September 26th in La Casa Cultural Latina at 4pm. We will be hosting a Meet and Greet with Illini and SACNAS Alumni Juan Velasquez who is now a Senior Scientist at P&G. Learn more about networking at conferences and how you can transition from academia into industry.
This Friday, September 9th at 6:30pm we will be holding our 2016 Fall Meet and Greet social event at the Native American House (1206 W. Nevada St. Urbana, IL). Come meet your local student chapter and learn how to get involved in SACNAS. Light refreshments will be provided.

Invited speakers: Prof. Linda Tunstad-Gutierrez and Prof. Carlos Gutierrez, California State University at Los Angeles are directors of the Minorities Opportunities in Research(MORE)Program, a highly successful URM training program nationally recognized as a Bright Spot in Hispanic Education for training URMs in STEM fields.
