Cole, Han, Kilton, and Others Receive Renaissance Society of America’s Digital Innovation Award for Emblematica Online 

The work of Mara Wade (Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures Professor Emerita), in collaboration Timothy Cole (Mathematics Librarian, Library Administration Professor), Myung-ja Han (Head of Acquisitions and Cataloging Services, University Library and Library & Information Science Professor), Thomas Kilton (University Library Emeritus Professor), and Thomas Stäcker (Herzog August Bibliothek Deputy Director), has been honored. This work, Emblematica Online, has been awarded the Renaissance Society of America’s Digital Innovation Award for 2022-2023.

Sara Benson Named Fellow and Representative

Copyright Librarian, Sara Benson, of the Scholarly Communications and Publishing Unit at the University Library, was recently named Senior Policy Advisor for the American Library Association (ALA) Public Policy and Advocacy Fellow. Benson has also been named the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) Representative to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Standing Committee on Copyright and Related Rights (SCCR).

Kirstin Johnson Becomes BTAA-DEO Fellow Through 2022-2023 Department Executive Officer Program

Kirstin Johnson, Head of the Music and Performing Arts Library and University Library Professor, was one of 65 department heads and chairs from Big Ten Academic Alliance (BTAA) universities to attend the Department Executive Officer Program.

This leadership development event focused on several topics including conflict resolution, group problem solving, and faculty development.
