These are courses that I am currently teaching or will be teaching as a faculty member of the Statistics Department at UIUC.

Courses as Visiting Assistant Professor:

  • STAT 448 / CSE 448 (Fall 2017, Spring 2018)
  • STAT 440 / CSE 440 (Summer 2018)

Courses as Teaching Assistant Professor:

  • STAT 440 / CSE 440 (Fall 2018)
  • STAT 448 / CSE 448 (2018-2019, 2019-2020)
    • Course Description:  Several of the most widely used techniques of data analysis are discussed with an emphasis on statistical computing. Topics include linear regression, analysis of variance, generalized linear models, and analysis of categorical data. In addition, an introduction to data mining is provided considering classification, model building, decision trees, and cluster analysis.
    • Spring 2020 Office Hours: Mon – Thu 10:00 am – 12:00 pm Illini Hall 103A

  • STAT 385 (Fall 2019, Fall 2020)
    • Course Description:  Statisticians must be savvy in programming methods useful to the wide variety of analysis that they will be expected to perform. This course provides the foundation for writing and packaging statistical algorithms through the creation of functions and object oriented programming. Fundamental programming techniques and considerations will be emphasized. Students will also create dynamic reports that encapsulate their implemented algorithms. Students must have access to a computer on which they can install software.
    • Fall 2019 Office Hours: Tue 2:30-3:30 pm in Illini Hall 103A. Combined office hours with Prof. Eck’s section take place on Wednesdays in Altgeld Hall 147.
