Reflection 1

For my first minor assignment, similar to my major assignments, I had passive voice in my essay, though it wasn’t an abundant amount. I went back to fix any passive voice pointed out through feedback. Aside from that, I went on to find any passive voice on my own. Since I had to look through my own essay, I admit it was kind of hard for me to find passive voice. However, when looking back through my essay, if I found a sentence that seemed to wordy, I read it again to see if it was in passive voice. Even if the sentence wasn’t passive, I tried to make it more concise. I also did minor changes, like placing the comma before the quotation mark. I even changed my in text citation according to my feedback. I was used to writing the author’s name in the citation, but now I know that I should put whatever comes first in my works cited page for that certain citation.

A question was asked in my feedback, so I attempted to add to my explanation in hopes that I answered the question, or at least made my point clear. For my first minor assignment, I didn’t have much too look over. There were the obvious grammar mistakes, which would reflect over to future assignments, (passive voice), but I think I did okay. As for my small experiment, people really should say hi more often.
