Clubs and other Non-Academic Opportunities

Clubs are a great way to get involved, meet new classmates, and network with professionals! Below is a list of clubs you can get involved in, feel free to click on them to find out more information about each club!

 

Economics Club Economics club is housed within the Department of Economics but completely run by students. These students work collaboratively with each other, are the first to hear about networking opportunities, and receive support from the office.

Alternative Spring Break– This is a great volunteer opportunity and a great way to gain leadership and team building skills. Alternative Spring Break is a 100% student-run, non-profit volunteer organization of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the University YMCA. ASB sends U of I students on nationwide service trips four times throughout the year. During their fall, winter, spring, and summer breaks, ASB participants travel throughout the country to learn about and actively combat social justice and environmental issues. Trips concern issues such as homelessness, poverty, animals, healthcare, environment, and many more.

 

Career Services Paraprofessional- We recruit enthusiastic, high-quality individuals during the Spring semester each year to be Career Services Paraprofessionals.  CSPs, once hired, are go through an intensive training process and then officially start work in the Fall.  Join our team! Come and learn more at the upcoming informational sessions.
