Besides writing skill, this assignment taught me how to analyze other papers with rhetoric skills.

Moreover, I also learned how to construct argumentative paper with rhetoric.

From this assignment I learned Toulmin’s model as well as rhetorical triangle.

With in my writing, I did not have solid understanding on warrants so I could not expand and explain more about what is author’s warrant. I tired to read various links to understand what warrant is, and I learned what warrant is. However, when it comes to fining warrants from other people’s essay, it was quiet hard to discover it; it is hidden most of times.

I also found that my rhetorical triangle analysis was weak as well. However, after I read about comments on my paper. I easily found out what ethos, logos and pathos is and how those acts it’s role to persuade readers.

This activity made me to learn how to evaluate other writings and how to extract good information from the writing. Also, I learned how to differentiate good sources from bad sources.

When I was writing this essay, I tried to stay organized by introducing each part of Toulmin’s model. I introduced each by each along with the examples form the text. After I introduced Toulmin’s model, I also introduced rhetorical triangle and exigency to achieve logical transition in my paper. However, I have some trouble with formatting in-text citation as well as citation. But I think I did well on keeping the boundaries of citation.

I also found various grammatical errors. I often made article mistakes and I have to learn when to use “a” or “the” and when to not. Rest of grammatical mistakes were minor, and I was not cautious when I was reading my paper again. Next time, I should take more time in proof reading my paper.

Overall, I did okay job on my paper. My overall organization was good. However, I was not able to fulfill the word count for the paper since I did not understand Toulmin’s model thoroughly. I also need to expand or re write the rhetorical triangle part as well.
