Besides writing skill, this assignment taught me how to analyze other papers with rhetoric skills.
Moreover, I also learned how to construct argumentative paper with rhetoric.
From this assignment I learned Toulmin model as well as rhetorical triangle.
When I was revising the assignment, I found various article mistakes along with structural error. I also found some weak links and weak parts as well.
With in my writing, I did not have solid understanding on warrants so I could not expand and explain more about what is author’s warrant. Through out the course, after I learn much more about warrant by writing my own paper and reading my classmate’s paper, I finally figured out what is warrant in Toulmin’s model. Based on this experience, I extended more on the warrant part.
I also found that my rhetorical triangle analysis was weak as well. When I first wrote this paper, I did not have enough knowledge about logos, ethos, and pathos. As I learn more about this point through various activities, such as annotated bibliography, which requires analysis skills with rhetorical triangle, I learned much more about logos, ethos and pathos. With more substantial knowledge about rhetorical triangle, I rewrote the rhetorical triangle analysis part with different view.
Finally, I corrected some minor grammatical errors as well as citation errors. I often made mistake on formatting the citation and now, I found right way to format the in text citation and citation.
