Clinical Research Suite

The Clinical Research Suite is a 1,600-square-foot research facility located on the first floor of Bevier Hall (room 199) (Dr. Pepino is the Director). The Clinical Intervention Space includes a private bathroom (exclusive use for research participants) and separate rooms for body composition and blood processing.

The Clinical Research Suite is equipped with a YSI glucose-lactate analyzer, a refrigerated centrifuge, a pharmaceutical-grade medical fridge, clinical recliners, hot boxes (to obtain arterialized venous blood samples), a Quintron analyzer (for hydrogen breath testing), a BOD POD unit (for the measurement of body composition), and Computer-assisted Alcohol Infusion Systems (CAIS, designed by the Indiana University’s Neural System Laboratory for alcohol clamps and alcohol self-administration tests).
