After three nominations for past novels, English author Julian Barnes has been awarded the Man Booker Prize for his novel The Sense of an Ending. Barnes has previously been shortlisted for the Booker Prize for Flaubert’s Parrot (1984), England, England (1998) and Arthur & George (2005).
